A Couples Session In The Finger Lakes!

Picture this, it’s a breezy 70 degrees, the windows are rolled down in your dads old hand me down truck, your hand is out the window and you and your boo cruising the backroads of the Finger Lakes Region enjoying the sunset and views. It’s literally the most perfect summer night and you think man am I living in a Nicholas Sparks movie or what?!

Did you imagine that sweet bliss? Excellent! Hold on to that feeling because that’s what happened with Alex and Dylan except we stopped to snag a few pictures too! Little did I know that during this session it would mean much more than just a simple couples session (which has enough meaning on it’s own!) During this session I learned from Alex that this classic red 1966 Ford 100 Twin I-Beam Pickup Truck was her grandfathers prized possession, and he had left to her when he had passed.

Summer in the Finger Lakes Region of New York provides the best sunsets –

This night was no different. It was the perfect summer evening not too hot or too cold – right before the sun would set and we couldn’t have picked a dreamier time. The hues from the sky really accented the red truck and brought out the warmth in these photos. It also helped that Dylan and Alex brought the heat – you know when you’re in the company of a couple that just feels right – that they’re each others best friends first? That’s exactly how it is with these two and every prompt I gave them they executed and clearly had the best time doing it. Alex had proclaimed they were ‘the worlds most awkward people’ before this session… after editing this full album and working with them? I HIGHLY disagree. They flowed well with each other and hardly needed any direction at all.
